Cartwright Landscapes Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Gawcott, Buckingham.

Pay: £11.50 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience

Location: The Mower Centre, Radclive Road, Gawcott, Buckingham, MK18 4HX

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm Full/Part-time

Contract: Permanent

The Role: This is a role which requires flexibility as the work we carry out is varied. The sorts of role responsibilities which we would expect from the right candidate might include the following:

Duties:

· Grass cutting

· Hedge cutting

· Adhere to company standards such as risk assessments and COSHH.

· Shrub maintenance and weeding

· Sports pitch maintenance

· Leaf and debris clearing

· Winter gritting and minor snow clearance

· Communication with your team as well as customers and general public

· Responsibility for keeping vehicles and machinery equipment in good working condition and reporting immediately to the workshop team if any issues arise.

*Requirements and required skills:

· Experience using commercial pedestrian mowers, ride-on mowers, tractor and flail, small machinery, hedgecutters, strimmers and blowers.

· Chainsaw certificate would be preferable although not essential

· PA1 and PA6 spraying licence certificates preferable although not essential

· Familiar and comfortable with working in a physically demanding role in sometimes poor weather conditions

· Full UK driving licence

· Must be willing to undertake full DBS clearance check

· Excellent organisational & communication skills

· Good practical skills and knowledge of grounds maintenance activities is essential, including good working Health and Safety knowledge

· Ability to work alone as well as part of the team

· Good common sense and practical problem solving skills
